The HORL®2 offers full flexibility for individual requirements. Interchangeable grinding wheels, the 15° sharpening angle for fine sharpness, and the 20° sharpening angle for stable sharpness offer more possibilities for knife sharpening. The diamond grinding wheel and the ceramic honing side guarantee impressive results. The newly developed assembly technology and built-in ball bearings create a play-free rolling feeling.

Diamond Grinding Wheel

With the HORL® Diamond Standard Grinding Wheel, a high-quality sharpening result is possible in a short time without water. The industrial diamonds used are suitable for all knife steels of any degree of hardness and ensure efficient, precise results. In addition, these produce a grinding pattern that is comparable to the "ex-works" grind of a high-quality German kitchen knife. When used properly, the HORL® Diamond Standard Grinding Wheel does not need to be replaced.

20° GRINDING ANGLE
FOR STABLE SHARPNESS

The 20° sharpening angle ensures new sharpness and a stable cutting edge in a short time. This means that the knife retains its sharpness for a long time and is suitable for a wide variety of cuts in everyday kitchen life. Even outdoors, it gives many pocket knives a stable cutting edge and excellent sharpness for daily use.

15° SHARPENING ANGLE
FOR FILIGREE SHARPNESS

The 15° sharpening angle gives particularly fine blades made of Damascus and high-quality carbon steel filigree sharpness. These knife edges can be ground very finely and retain their stability.

op-class
efficiency

Industrial diamonds are considered one of the most durable and efficient abrasives on the market. The monocrystalline diamonds are harder than any knife steel. By means of an electroplating process, the diamonds of the HORL® Diamond Standard are fixed to approx. 55% in a nickel bed. The initially rough surface refines after the first grinding movements and reaches the state that remains from then on.
